SRF Agricultural Engineering recruitment in Indian Agricultural Research Instituteon contractual basis
Project Title: "Decision Support System for Enhancing Water Productivity of Irrigated Rice-Wheat Cropping System"

Essential: M.Tech/M.Sc in (Agricultural Engineering with specialization in soil and water conservation engineering, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering and Water Resources Development and Management)/ Water management/ Agricultural Physics/ Remote Sensing and GIS/ Environmental Sciences / Agronomy/ Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry/ Geoinformatics / Civil Engineering/ Hydrology /Agricultural Statistics /Computer application in Agriculture / Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/(Water Science and Technology with B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering). Proficiency in use of crop models, water management and hydrological models, geospatial tools and development of softwares/Decision Support Systems in VB/NET/C/C++/Java/ORACtE programming languages. (Master's Degree in the relevant professional subject mentioned above with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelors degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET qualification or Equivalent certificate)
Desirable: Published research work pertaining to use of crop models and development of decision support systems In Irrigation water management In rice and wheat crop. Major activity will be to calibrate and validate crop models (SRF1) and develop Decision Support System using programming language besides knowledge of coding in built in macro programming language of open source GIS for development of spatial DSS (SRF2).

The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 8th January 2016 at 10:00 AM Venue: Committee Room of the Water Technology Centre, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-110012 The candidates will have to compulsorily bring the filled application form as in Annexure -II and detailed resume/CV indicating present qualification and expertise as mentioned in Essential and Desirable Qualification, all the original certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certificate. NET/equivalent certificate, M.Sc/M.Tech/Ph.D certificate either original or provisional and one set of the self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted on the resume/CV.
