Job Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years experience in the electricity and or water authority.
- English and preferred with Arabic
- PC Literate, Certified and Extensive knowledge in GIS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the GIS databases.
- Identify, collect and Co-ordinate new or revised asset data requirements.
- Asses users needs and analyse requirements to enhance system functionalities.
- Ensure the protection of the integrity of the asset data stock and identify new or revised requirements.
- Work on the interface between GIS and other systems to enhance data integrity and business processes.
- Develop and implement a set of standards and specifications for the collection and maintenance of asset data. Monitoring and occasional sampling of the overall level of data return and accuracy against the actual work carried out.
- Provide Technical support on GIS to automate and capture the distribution network in to the system effectively.
- Perform frequent testing and diagnosing checks when necessary on GIS data base and its Applications.
- Trace network feeders, pipes, cables and overhead lines and generate discrepancy reports.
